Prof. Martin Lamb

Day One Live Conference (September 24, 2021)

Martin Lamb is a Senior Lecturer in TESOL in the School of Education at the University of Leeds, where he teaches undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the field of language teaching and learning. He previously worked as a teacher and teacher trainer in Sweden, Indonesia and Bulgaria. His main research interest is in learner and teacher motivation and their interaction with teaching methodology and other sociocultural factors. He has published work in several journals such as TESOL Quarterly, Language Teaching and Language Learning and is recently published a Handbook of Motivation for Language Learning for Palgrave Macmillan.

Prof. Hayo Reinders

Day One Live Conference (September 24, 2021)

Hayo Reinders is a TESOL Professor and Director of Research at Anaheim University in the US and Professor of Applied Linguistics at KMUTT in Thailand. He founded the Institute for Teacher Leadership (www.teacherleadership.ac) to empower teachers and learners with research and leadership skills. Professor Reinders' interests are in technology in education, learner autonomy, and out-of-class learning. His most recent books are on teacher autonomy, teaching methodologies, and second language acquisition.

Colm Downes

Colm Downes is the Director of English, Education & Society British Council Indonesia. He has previously worked for the British Council in Europe and MENA (Middle East and North Africa).
